Find out about your rights as an employee through a trade union.

Being employed by an employer does not mean that the employer can treat you any way they want just because they pay you, you as an employee have many rights that the employer needs to follow both under Swedish law and under agreements between trade unions.

One example is to give you information about your working hours in good time so that you can plan your life outside work, and not to change your working hours without your consent if the change is close to your original shift. Being affiliated to a trade union has its advantages, and they can represent you in case of a conflict with your employer.

Join your trade union in your sector and find out what rights you have under your employment contract. Different contracts have different rights.
