Something that has been part of the concept of some restaurants is to let some waiters prepare the food at the tables on a trolley that has been rolled out, for example, making a Caesar salad or slicing a piece of meat. However, this has never been a trend, but mostly to entertain the guest.
Doing this is untidy and unhygienic as a waiter rarely has the training such as bacterial and hygiene training. There is a reason why the food is prepared in a kitchen because it is more sterile than in a dining room full of guests.
